Welcome to the website of the Center for People and Buildings (CfPB)

Here you can find information about our research, our organisation, our publications and activities, the latest news and ways for joining the Center in her mission to bring knowledge about people, work and workplaces to corporate real estate end-users.

The Center for People and Buildings (CfPB) is an independent not for profit scientific knowledge center that undertakes research into the relations that exist between people, work and workplace environments. The intention of the activities of the CfPB is to stimulate research, product development and knowledge transfer within the field. The research is set up and executed for generic purposes with participants from both the public and private sector. Through these activities the CfPB strives towards stimulating interdisciplinary exchange and cooperation between academics and professionals. 

We pursue these goals on the basis of three main research activities. The first activity is to track and monitor relevant scientific research and education, and thereby also the knowledge gaps that might exist. The CfPB also initiates, assists and executes different research studies and related activities that are theoretic or more applied in nature. Finally we also disseminate and transfer the knowledge that we have gathered through publications, lectures, workshops, debates and instruments. 

The English version of the website for now only is a short abstract of the Dutch version. We strive to seriously improve the English version near the end of this year (2009).
